Pinball has a rich history dating back to the 18th century, evolving from outdoor lawn games like croquet and bowling.
The first coin-operated pinball machines appeared in the 1930s, and the introduction of flippers in 1947 transformed pinball from a game of chance to a game of skill.
During the 1970s and 1980s, pinball reached peak popularity with innovations including electronic displays, complex playfields, and themed machines based on movies, TV shows, and bands.
Today, electronic pinball machines like this Pac-Man Ambassador model continue the tradition while introducing new features for modern players, keeping the spirit of this classic arcade game alive for new generations.
About Pac-Man
+
Pac-Man is a maze arcade game released by Namco in 1980, designed by Toru Iwatani.
Players guide the hungry yellow hero around a maze, gobbling up dots while avoiding the four ghosts – Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde – and eating power pellets to turn the tables on them.
Pac-Man became a worldwide phenomenon and one of the most recognisable video game characters of all time, and the game remains a symbol of the golden age of the arcade.
