Setup: Unfold the game board and place it on a flat surface. Each player selects a playing piece and places it next to square 1 (off the board). Decide who goes first — the youngest player traditionally starts.

Gameplay: On your turn, spin the spinner and move your playing piece the number of spaces shown. If you land at the bottom of a ladder, climb up to the square at the top of the ladder. If you land at the top of a chute, slide down to the square at the bottom of the chute.

Taking Turns: Players take turns spinning the spinner and moving their pieces around the board. The journey to the top involves both lucky climbs up ladders and unfortunate slides down chutes.

Winning the Game: The first player to land exactly on square 100 wins the game! Note: you must land exactly on square 100 to win. If your spin would take you beyond square 100, you don't move and must wait for your next turn.
