About Knight Rider:
Knight Rider was a popular American television series that originally aired from 1982 to 1986. The show featured Michael Knight (played by David Hasselhoff), a high-tech modern crime fighter assisted by K.I.T.T (Knight Industries Two Thousand), an advanced, artificially intelligent and nearly indestructible car.
K.I.T.T was a 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am that had been enhanced with numerous features including an extremely durable molecular shell, artificial intelligence, and a range of defensive capabilities. The vehicle was voiced by actor William Daniels, who gave K.I.T.T its distinctive, often sardonic personality.
In the show's third season, K.I.T.T was upgraded with "Super Pursuit Mode," which transformed the car with additional aerodynamic components that extended from the vehicle's body, allowing it to reach speeds of over 300 mph.
