The Knight Automated Roving Robot (or K.A.R.R for short) was the early prototype vehicle developed by Wilton Knight for Knight Industries. In the television series KARR was ultimately put into storage when designers realised that his CPU was unstable and he ends up more interested in self preservation rather than saving human life. He was superseded by K.I.T.T

K.A.R.R featured in several episodes of the TV series in showdowns with K.I.TT and could be distinguished by his orange scanner light as apposed to K.I.T.T who had a red scanner light. In the season 3 episode K.I.T.T v K.A.R.R he gives himself a makeover to make his appearance two tone silver and black.
