Star Wars: Return of the Jedi is the third film in the original Star Wars trilogy and was released in 1983. It concludes the epic saga of Luke Skywalker's journey to become a Jedi Knight and the Rebel Alliance's struggle against the evil Galactic Empire.

In this installment, Luke Skywalker attempts to rescue Han Solo from the crime lord Jabba the Hutt whilst the Rebel Alliance prepares for a final assault against a second Death Star. A key part of this assault involves a strike team led by Han Solo to deactivate the shield generator on the forest moon of Endor, which is protected by Imperial forces.

It is on Endor that the Rebels encounter the Ewoks, a primitive but resourceful species of small, furry warriors who initially capture the Rebels but later become crucial allies in the fight against the Empire. Princess Leia plays a crucial role in this mission and in building the alliance with the Ewoks.

Return of the Jedi features iconic scenes including the battle on Endor with the Ewoks, the space battle above the forest moon, and the emotional redemption of Darth Vader.
