Star Wars: Return of the Jedi is the third film in the original Star Wars trilogy and was released in 1983. It concludes the epic saga of Luke Skywalker's journey to become a Jedi Knight and the Rebel Alliance's struggle against the evil Galactic Empire.

In this installment, Luke Skywalker attempts to rescue Han Solo from the crime lord Jabba the Hutt while the Rebel Alliance prepares for a final assault against a second Death Star. Luke confronts Darth Vader in a climactic duel, where he faces not only his father but also the malevolent Emperor Palpatine.
