The "We Don't Talk" Rule is a special feature exclusive to this Disney's Encanto Edition of UNO!

Inspired by the hit song "We Don't Talk About Bruno," this rule works like this:

• When a player plays a card with the Bruno silhouette icon, all players must immediately stop talking

• Players must remain completely silent until someone gets down to their last card and shouts "UNO!"

• If any player speaks during this silence period, they must draw 2 cards as a penalty

• The only exception is when a player has one card left - they must still call "UNO!" or face the usual penalty

This fun rule adds an extra challenge to the game, as players have to be even more aware of their card count without being able to discuss the game!

Just like the Madrigal family trying not to mention Bruno, players will have to be careful to keep their silence - or face the consequences!

Disney's Encanto is a 2021 American animated musical fantasy comedy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. The film tells the story of the Madrigals, an extraordinary family who live in a magical house in the mountains of Colombia.

Every child in the family has been blessed with a unique magical gift - except for Mirabel, who discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is in danger. As the only ordinary Madrigal, she might be her exceptional family's last hope.

The film features original songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda, including the viral hit "We Don't Talk About Bruno," which became one of Disney's most successful songs ever, topping charts worldwide.

UNO was invented in 1971 by Merle Robbins, a barber from Reading, Ohio. Robbins created the game to resolve a dispute about the rules of Crazy Eights and initially sold copies of UNO from his barbershop.

The game caught the attention of Robert Tezak over Thanksgiving weekend in 1971, who became hooked on it. The following year, Tezak made a deal with Robbins to take over UNO, and International Games was formed to produce and market the card game.

Following decades of massive success, International Games was acquired by Mattel in 1992, and UNO has remained a global phenomenon ever since. According to Mattel, approximately 17 decks are sold every minute worldwide.

Today, UNO is available in more than 80 countries and has expanded to include numerous themed editions featuring popular franchises, including this special Disney's Encanto edition that combines the classic card game with the magical characters and themes from the animated film.

Setup: Each player is dealt 7 cards, and the remaining cards form a draw pile. The top card is turned over to start the discard pile.

Gameplay: Players take turns placing a card from their hand onto the discard pile. The card must match either the color or the number/symbol of the card on top of the discard pile. If a player cannot play a card, they must draw a card from the draw pile.

Special Cards:

• Skip Card: When played, the next person in line loses their turn.

• Reverse Card: Reverses the direction of play.

• Draw Two Card: Forces the next player to draw two cards and lose their turn.

• Wild Card: Allows the player to choose any color for the next player to match.

• Wild Draw Four Card: Allows the player to choose any color and forces the next player to draw four cards and lose their turn.

Winning: When a player has only one card left, they must yell "UNO!" If they don't and are caught, they must draw two cards. The first player to get rid of all their cards wins the round.
