• Swap Trays Action Tile: When played, this tile allows you to swap the positions of any two trays on the game board. This can completely change the game dynamics by rearranging potential winning combinations!

• Push Out Action Tile: This powerful tile lets you push a tile out from the bottom of any tray, potentially disrupting an opponent's winning strategy or creating new opportunities for yourself.

• Reduce Tiles Action Tile: When you play this tile, you can force another player to take their next turn with 2 fewer tiles than normal, limiting their options and putting them at a strategic disadvantage.

Setup:

• Each player receives a set of tiles (colour-coded by the backs)

• Decide who goes first (youngest player or by drawing for highest number)

Gameplay:

• On your turn, slide one of your tiles into any of the 7 trays

• The tile must touch another tile with either the same colour OR the same number

• If you cannot make a legal move, you must pass your turn

Action Tiles:

• Swap Trays: Exchange the positions of any two trays

• Push Out: Push a tile out from the bottom of any tray

• Reduce Tiles: Force another player to take their next turn with 2 fewer tiles

Winning:

• The first player to get four of their tiles in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) wins!

• If all tiles are played and no one has four-in-a-row, the game ends in a draw

UNO was invented in 1971 by Merle Robbins, a barber from Reading, Ohio. Robbins created the game to resolve a dispute about the rules of Crazy Eights and initially sold copies of UNO from his barbershop.

The game caught the attention of Robert Tezak over Thanksgiving weekend in 1971, who became hooked on it. The following year, Tezak made a deal with Robbins to take over UNO, and International Games was formed to produce and market the card game.

Following decades of massive success, International Games was acquired by Mattel in 1992, and UNO has remained a global phenomenon ever since. According to Mattel, approximately 17 decks are sold every minute worldwide.

Today, UNO is available in more than 80 countries and has expanded beyond the original card game to include numerous formats and variations, including the UNO Quatro tile game that combines the matching mechanics of UNO with the classic four-in-a-row gameplay.
