Setup: Shuffle the 120 photo cards and deal an equal number to each player. Choose one player to be the Recaller for the first round. Place the electronic Polaroid camera timer where all players can see it.

Storytelling Phase: Players take turns placing one photo card at a time onto the central Connections pile. As you place your card, you must describe how it connects to the previous card through a story element or creative link.

Building the Story: Connections can be literal or imaginative. A photo of a dog might connect to a park, which connects to children playing, which connects to ice cream, and so on. The stories often take wonderfully absurd and hilarious turns.

Timer Management: The camera timer keeps the game moving. When it buzzes, the Storytelling Phase ends immediately, and it's time for the Recall Phase.

Recall Phase: The designated Recaller must now reconstruct the entire sequence of photo cards in the correct order, using only their memory of the story that was told. They earn points for each correctly placed card.

Challenging: Other players can challenge the Recaller if they believe they can do better. Successful challengers steal points, adding a competitive edge to the memory test.

Winning: Play continues with players rotating as Recaller. The player with the most points at the end of the agreed number of rounds wins the game.
