The Munsters is an American sitcom depicting the home life of a family of benign monsters that aired on CBS from September 24, 1964, to May 12, 1966.

The series stars Fred Gwynne as Herman Munster, Yvonne De Carlo as Lily Munster, Al Lewis as Grandpa, Butch Patrick as Eddie Munster, and Beverly Owen (later replaced by Pat Priest) as Marilyn Munster.

The Munsters lived at 1313 Mockingbird Lane in the fictional city of Mockingbird Heights. The series was filmed in black and white to enhance the characters' makeup and was produced during the same period as the similarly themed TV show "The Addams Family."

The show followed the day-to-day life of the monster family who, except for their appearance, portrayed an otherwise typical middle-class, hard-working American family of the mid-twentieth century.

Herman Munster: The family patriarch, Herman is a Frankenstein's monster-type character who works at a funeral home. Despite his intimidating appearance, he's gentle, naive, and easily scared. His figure comes with a lunchbox accessory, a playful nod to his role as the family breadwinner.
