Synopsis:
Deep beneath the streets of New York City, four ordinary turtles were transformed into extraordinary heroes after exposure to a mysterious mutagen. Raised by their wise sensei, the mutated rat Splinter, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael grew from sewer-dwelling outcasts into a formidable team of ninja warriors.
Each brother developed his own unique personality and fighting style, using his choice of weapon — katana, nunchaku, bo staff and sai — to battle the forces of evil threatening their beloved city.
Alongside their allies, television reporter April O'Neil and vigilante ally Casey Jones, the Turtles emerged from the shadows whenever New York needed protecting. Their adventures took them from grimy back alleys to alien dimensions, always returning to the safety of their underground lair for pizza, laughter and brotherly banter that became as iconic as the battles themselves.
Standing in their way was the Turtles' arch-nemesis, the fearsome Shredder, leader of the criminal Foot Clan, who was determined to destroy Splinter and his mutant proteges once and for all. Shredder's schemes often saw him partnering with the bumbling but occasionally dangerous mad scientist Baxter Stockman, along with an ever-growing rogues' gallery of mutants, aliens and interdimensional villains, including the tyrannical Krang from Dimension X.
With its perfect blend of martial arts action, offbeat humour and genuine heart, the Classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series became a cultural phenomenon that defined a generation.
