Brief History:
The Garbage Pail Kids (GPK) were originally a series of sticker trading cards produced by the Topps Company, first released in 1985. They were designed as a parody of the popular Cabbage Patch Kids dolls, featuring characters with grotesque, comical, and absurd features. The cards quickly became a cultural phenomenon, especially among children and collectors.
Origins and Creators
The concept for Garbage Pail Kids was developed by Art Spiegelman, Mark Newgarden, and John Pound, who were inspired by the immense popularity of Cabbage Patch Kids. The initial series was released in June 1985.
Please be aware: The World's Smallest range are a collection of novelty miniature replicas of famous toys and games. Whilst they can be opened and played with and they really work, they are designed for collectors and miniature toy buffs and are not designed to be or promoted as being the same quality as the real toys on which they are based. Not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
